Laura Bain is the Vice President, People & Culture with Compass Group Canada, supporting their Healthcare, Long Term Care, Corrections and Remote Services sectors. ESS Support Services Worldwide (ESS) is the remote services division of Compass Group Canada. ESS has been honoured to be Gold-Level PAR certified since 2001.

In her work with ESS, Laura has been deeply involved in the architecture of various capacity building programs as well as a Manager in Training program, specific to their Indigenous partner communities. With a passion for the advancement of Indigenous women and youth, she is part of a senior leadership team developing a robust Indigenous Relations strategy that will result in deeper connections with, and more meaningful impacts in, the communities with which ESS works.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University and an MBA from Athabasca University. She previously sat on the Board of Directors for three years with the Artemis Charitable Foundation, an organization comprised of forward thinking, socially conscious women striving to make a positive impact on the Calgary community in which Laura lives. Artemis supports Calgary based registered charities whose work specifically assists women, children and families.
