Come explore opportunities, get inspired with fresh ideas, and celebrate Indigenous success and culture at the East Coast Business Forum and Award Dinner.

Tuesday, May 2, is only one day, but we’ve filled it with TWO events at the Halifax Convention Centre. The day starts with the Business Forum, kicking off with Coffee Connection and the Indigenous Marketplace – a great opportunity to network with forum attendees while discovering unique and hand-crafted goods from local Indigenous artisans.

In addition to the morning networking opportunities and lunch, the day features panels and sessions connected to the four pathways of the National Indigenous Economic Strategy (NIES), a roadmap for the economic aspects of reconciliation, and a path to greater prosperity for all.

Join us that evening for a celebration of Indigenous excellence at CCAB’s Award Dinner with a pre-dinner cocktail networking reception. Enjoy an evening of inspiration, success stories, and entertainment. We kick off with Dee Dee Austin and her band and comedian Clifton Cremo will entertain everyone after dinner. We close the evening by honouring the recipient of the 2023 Aboriginal Economic Development Corporation award, Meadow Lake Tribal Council Industrial Investments.

But wait, there’s more! It all starts the evening before with a Maritime tradition – the Kitchen Party of course! Join us at East of Grafton on Argyle St. to meet old friends and new, share stories, and enjoy some music, food, and fun on Monday, May 1, from 7 – 10 pm.
