Lisa IsaacOwner & Senior HR Consultant, Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services
Lisa is the Owner and Senior HR Consultant at Lisa Isaac HR.  In 2018 out of a desire to do things differently in the HR world, Lisa took her corporate knowledge and blended it with an Indigenous approach to policies and procedures and launched her own company: Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services. Lisa is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and formal education from the University of Ottawa and University of Lethbridge. Lisa has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources and worked with organizations from Coast to Coast including those in the energy, manufacturing, and banking sector prior to opening her own HR firm. She also teaches the Certified Indigenous HR Program through the AFOA.
Lisa’s volunteer portfolio is broad. Currently, Lisa serves on the volunteer board of directors for the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) and previously on the board for the national Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). Lisa is also an active member of Moose Deer Point First Nation, her home community and has twice run for Council.
Lisa’s team focuses on supporting both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations across the country with their HR operations. This encompasses anything “people-related” – including policy support, leadership coaching and development, workplace investigations, and compensation analysis and implementation, among others. Ultimately, the goal is to create sustainable workplaces that support employees and have a positive ripple effect across our communities and economies.
