Erin HickeyQuality Manager & PAIR Lead, Pennecon

    Erin is a Quality Manager and PAIR Lead with Pennecon in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.  Her role focuses on operational processes, leading management systems, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvements. In 2019, Erin’s responsibilities expanded, and she became engaged with Indigenous Relations and ESG initiatives at Pennecon. She has worked more than 20 years in the process and construction industry and has gained experience in mining, hydrometallurgy, road and bridge construction, hydroelectric and wind energy.

    An advocate and ally to both local and all Indigenous people, she has developed a passion for this work and strongly believes in an inclusive and diverse country. Erin has had the opportunity to travel across Canada to meet with many Indigenous Leaders and communities where Pennecon executes its work. She is excited to continue to improve relationships between Indigenous people and industry to maximize involvement and is dedicated to removing barriers.

    Erin graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts, holds a Process Operations Technology diploma from the College of the North Atlantic, is a Certified Quality Auditor and a registered Auditor with the Global Wind Organization.

    Erin also sits on the Advisory Committee with WISE NL for their Indigenous Youth Gathering which is offered to Indigenous high school students in Newfoundland and Labrador who are interested in learning more about education and career options in the STEM field.
