Glowing Igloo
Glowing Igloo is Inuit based and most items are made with the intentions of bringing back pride and education of our natural items such as sealskin, fox fur, leather, moosehide, antler. Items are all carefully and thoughtfully handmade by only me in my free time. I love to use natural materials mixed with modern elements to create fashionable yet sustainable items that are slow fashion which continues to respect our ways of thought about harvesting animals and the respect everything tied to survival.
Little L’nu
Laylia Bennett (they/she) is a Mi’kmaw and Acadian artist and a member of L’sitkuk (Bear River) First Nation. They are a Multidisciplinary Artist with a focus on beadwork and digital art. Laylia is Autistic, queer and chronically ill and operates a small business called Little L’nu where they sell handmade beaded earrings, pins, stickers, art prints, and more. Their work is often inspired by double curve motifs, anatomy, pop culture, and the beauty found in nature such as flowers, berries, animals, and bright vivid colors.

‘Kwe’ my name is Raven Stephens, I’m a Mi’kmaq woman from Millbrook First Nation. I have a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree, however I am a lover of the arts. I am a beadwork artist, a makeup artist, and a published author. I published my first book ‘Painting Our Legacy’ in 2022, where I highlight and share the beauty of Indigenous culture through the artist medium of makeup. I grew up on the Rez and now I live in the city, I found beading helped me stay connected to my culture being away from community and that is really when I fell in love with it’
The shop features artwork and crafts from Mi’kmaq people from Nova Scotia, including beadwork, mugs, weaved baskets, traditional smudging kits, musical instruments, paintings and wood-burned art and leather work.
Two Feathers Mi’kmaq Designs
Michelle Roy is a proud member of Wasoqopa’q First Nation, living in Glod River NS. She is the owner and artist behind Two Feathers Mi’kmaq Designs Inc. She is passionate about learning and sharing the Mi’kmaw language and culture along her journey. With passion and pride she uses furs, hides, bone beads, porcupine quills and more to create one of a kind regalia, gala gowns and accessories. Fusing Mi’kmaw culture and traditions with contemporary designs. She has had designs shown across the Atlantic provinces.

My designs often emerge from spontaneous creativity, but I also love crafting seasonal pieces. In addition to beadwork, I enjoy sewing, making tote bags, two-sided coasters, and scrunchies. Each creation reflects my passion for art and culture, inviting you to accessorize your life with something special.
