James Stevens is the Director of Commercial Operations for the Millbrook first Nation. In his current role he manages all Commercial Development, Tenant Relations, Business attraction and acts as the liaison between interested parties who would like to partner with Millbrook in Business and Economic Development opportunities.
James began his professional career in 2010 with the Business Development bank of Canada as a Senior Underwriting Analyst and has since held positions with the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq as a community project liaison and prior to Joining the Team at Millbrook he was a member of the Ulnooweg Development Group Inc. as a Business Development Officer handling entrepreneurial lending and business advisory services for Nova Scotia. James has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Major in Business Management from Dalhousie University (2010) and he holds the Technician Aboriginal Economic Developer (TAED) designation from the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers (CANDO). He is a member of the Millbrook Veterans Advisory committee, WMA board of directors and is an ex-officio member of the Truro Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity.
He Resides in Millbrook NS, with his wife Ashley and their three children Nash, Stone, and Solana.
