Dana Martin is the Director, Indigenous Financial Services and joined Scotiabank over 18 years ago. She gained experience throughout Western Canada while taking on progressively senior leadership roles within Retail Banking.
She began her career as a Customer Service Representative. More recently she held the role of District Vice President of Central East Vancouver in the BC & Yukon Region, where she managed a team of over 200.
In the role of Director, Indigenous Financial Services, Dana carries a national mandate where she is responsible for growing Indigenous Financial Services by leading business development across Canadian Business Banking. She also collaborates with partners in Wealth, GBM, and Retail Banking. Dana also plays a key role in community engagement and is integral to advancing the Bank’s Indigenous relations.
Dana maintains a strong community focus. Apart from her many professional accomplishments, Dana is the Vice Chair at the Burnaby Board of Trade and has previously sat on the Board of the Hearts and Hands Foundation where she provided first-hand disaster relief in Central America.
On a personal note, Dana loves to travel and has been to over 45 countries.
